Intergenerational Learning
Intergenerational learning fosters empathy, respect and a sense of belonging as students learn about the rich tapestry of culture and history through firsthand accounts.
Hudson Lab School is located at Andrus on Hudson, a skilled nursing home. Our unique location provides students with the rare opportunity for intergenerational learning. Young students and senior residents, affectionately known as the "Grands," come together and light up in one another’s presence. They engage in heartfelt exchanges of stories, share playful moments, and form meaningful friendships that evolve over time. In various projects, students apply the Design Thinking process to help improve the lives of the Grands.
