Sarah Bren
Trustee
Dr. Sarah Bren is a licensed clinical psychologist with a deep passion for supporting families in building healthy, respectful relationships. She is the co-founder of the Upshur Bren Psychology Group in Pelham, NY, where she works with parents, children, and families to navigate the challenges of modern parenting using a compassionate, attachment-focused approach. Dr. Bren earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Bren is also the host of the Securely Attached podcast, a popular resource for parents seeking evidence-based strategies for fostering emotional resilience and connection within their families. She is an active writer and speaker, providing accessible guidance on topics such as managing parental stress, encour-aging autonomy in children, and creating supportive home environments. Dr. Bren is parent to Sadie and Ollie, who attend Hudson Lab School.

Salil Gandhi
Trustee
Salil Gandhi is a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati representing emerging growth companies throughout their life cycles and counseling venture capital funds and other private equity funds on structuring and executing investment transactions. Previously, Salil was a partner at Goodwin Procter co-leading Prop Tech, Counsel at Gunderson Dettmer, General Counsel to a group of India-focused private equity funds managing more than $2 billion, and Vice President of Content & Business Development at Joost. Salil also practiced at Paul, Weiss as well as Frankfurt, Kurnit, Klein and Selz and co-founded Crybaby Media, a content development and creative packaging firm. Salil received his J.D. from The George Washington School of Law, with high honors, where he was a recipient of the Order of the Coif, and a B.S. degree in chemical engineering and art history from Northwestern.

Tricia Han
Board Chair
Tricia Han has been a member of the HLS Board for over four years and has served as Board Chair since 2023. Currently, she is the CEO of Mistplay, a mobile gaming platform. Her extensive leadership experience also includes serving as CEO of MyFitnessPal and Daily Burn, and as Chief Product Officer at Care.com. Tricia brings with her deep expertise in technology and organizational management.

Robert Horsford
Trustee
Robert Horsford, President and Chairman of Apex Building Group, is a third generation real estate professional, having cut his teeth in the industry while working with his immigrant entrepreneur grandfather, Victor Horsford, founder of Victor Horsford Realty Corp., a real estate fixture in Harlem since 1945. Robert earned a BS degree in structural engineering and business economics from Brown University. Prior to founding Apex in 1997, he worked as a project manager for Verizon Global and as a project engineer at Gilbane Building Company. Robert sits on the Greater Harlem Real Estate Board and the New York State Association for Affordable Housing Board. Robert has two children enrolled at HLS.

Emma Katznelson
Trustee
Emma has an illustrious history of progressive education. She started as an English teacher at Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco, served as a Museum Educator at The Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco, then moved to Wildwood School in Los Angeles serving as a Humanities Teacher, Associate Director of Admissions, and Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management. In 2018, Emma took on the role of Director of Enrollment Management at The Masters School and since 2021 has served as Associate Head for Enrollment and Strategic Planning.

Liz Kerins Pacheco
Trustee
As the Head of PAHLS (Parent Association of HLS), Liz is deeply connected to HLS parents and brings their perspective to the Board. Liz's diverse professional background includes experience in marketing, public relations, event planning and merchandising. At Macmillan Children's Publishing, she led campaigns for acclaimed titles, including works by Caldecott Medalists and NYT Bestselling Authors. As Director of Merchandising for Fab.com, she led a dynamic buying team. As a freelance copywriter, Liz contributed to DailyCandy as well as parent and wellness blogs. Liz holds a theatre degree from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and lives in Westchester with her husband and two sons who both attend HLS. Being their mother is the most fulfilling job she's ever had.

Stacey Seltzer
Co-Founder/Trustee
Stacey is a partner at Co-Created, a collective of entrepreneurs that helps corporations and entrepreneurs navigate each step in launching new ventures. Prehype runs programs for companies such as LEGO, Newscorp, Verizon, Kaplan and Coca-cola identifying new innovation and business opportunities and creating new adjacent businesses through a proprietary lean incubation process. A startup junkie, Stacey has also worked with numerous startups from Managed by Q to Barkbox, CuteCircuit, Joost and others. Stacey received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor's degree from Brown University.

Maria Stein-Marrison
Trustee
Maria is the Director and a Managing Partner of the Manitou School. She has been the Director of the School since its founding in 2014. Previously, she ran the Manitou Learning Center (a bilingual preschool) and was a management consultant in strategy, process, and change management for 15+ years. Most recently, Maria had been consulting to an elite K-12 private school in Panama City on their overall strategy, organizational structure, and curriculum effectiveness. For the last ten years, Maria has been developing and teaching a curriculum for Spanish instruction incorporating music, movement, arts and crafts, and games to teach basic vocabulary and grammatical structure. She serves on the board of the Boscobel House and Gardens and is a founding Board member of the Philipstown Hub and Bhutan Mindfulness. She holds a B.S. from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated magna cum laude. She lives in Garrison with her husband and two children, who are happy alumni of the Manitou School.

Dan Williams
Trustee
Dan Williams is a Partner at TJC, LP, a private investment firm, where he serves as Co-Head of the firm’s Consumer and Healthcare industry vertical and is a member of the firm’s Diversity Equity & Inclusion Committee. Dan joined TJC in 2006, prior to which he worked in the Leveraged Finance Group at JPMorgan. He currently serves on the board of directors for TIDI Products, Dental365, Odyssey Logistics, Vyne Corporation, WEP Clinical and Spartech Corporation. Dan holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Northwestern University, where he was Co-Captain of the Men’s Swimming & Diving team. Dan lives in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY and is the parent of two Hudson Lab School students.
