Stay Connected. Stay Curious. Stay Involved.

Being a grandparent is one of life's greatest joys. At Hudson Lab School, we believe grandparents and grandfriends are an important part of a child's educational journey. Whether you live nearby or across the country, there are countless ways to stay connected with your grandchild's learning, contribute to our community, and continue learning alongside them.

Ways for Grandparents to Get Involved

Visiting grandparents are always welcome to visit the school!

Here are more ways to become involved:

  • Become a Grandparent Ambassador
Share your Hudson Lab School experience with prospective families, welcome new grandparents, or introduce friends to the school.

  • Share Your Expertise
Students love learning from people who have real-world experience. Whether you're an engineer, artist, entrepreneur, gardener, doctor, carpenter, chef, scientist, teacher, or lifelong hobbyist, we'd love to connect your knowledge with student projects. Participate in person or via Zoom.

  • Be a Mystery Reader for your grandchild’s class
Read a favorite story to your grandchild's class. Whether you're in the classroom or joining virtually, Mystery Reader visits create lasting memories for students.

  • Attend Student Exhibitions
One of the highlights of Hudson Lab School is watching students proudly share what they've created. Attend exhibitions, presentations, performances, and celebrations throughout the year and see learning come to life.

  • Volunteer at School Events
Lend a hand during Community Day, field experiences, special celebrations, and other events throughout the year.
